With decades of nursing experience — from hospitals to leading a long-term care facility of over 1,000 clients — Teresa saw firsthand how families were too often let down by poor standards of care. She knew her community deserved something better. Her own journey shaped that vision. Growing up in poverty, with a mother battling addiction, Teresa often faced homelessness and hardship. At just 17, she became a mother herself and left high school. But instead of letting that define her future, she chose to fight. Working days, studying nights, and raising her children, she earned her nursing degree and built a life fueled by determination and faith. That same determination is at the heart of Tru Home Care.
